先日、保育園の先生に卒乳について相談したところ、「10月がおすすめ！」と言われ、今週欠航することに決めました。
なぜ10月かというと、気候的にちょうどいいからだそうです。夏の暑い時期だと、おっぱいは水分補給にもなります。冬の寒い時期だと、赤ちゃんは人肌恋しくて、おっぱいを吸いながら寝たがります。
暑くもなく寒くもないこの季節が卒乳に最適なのだそうです。
娘には、１週間ほど前から「今週でおっぱい終わりだよ」、「おっぱいバイバイしようね」と伝え始めました。
一昨日くらいからは、娘も段々とわかってきたのか、「うん」と力強く頷いていました。
（本当に理解しているのかな？）
ということで、今日は、保育園のお迎え、お風呂、食事、その後のプレイタイム、全て夫が担当しています。
私は２人がお風呂に入っている間に食事の用意、その後別の部屋で過ごしています。娘は会うとおっぱいを欲しがるので、今日は会えません。
３日ほどおっぱいなしで過ごすと、卒乳完了と言われています。
１日目でも結構大変そうですが、３日も持つのでしょうか。

The other day, I talked to a teacher at daycare about weaning, and she said, "October is the best month! So I decided to do it this week.
The reason why she said October is because the weather is just right. In the hot summer months, having milk is a good way to rehydrate. In the cold winter months, babies want to sleep while having one.
This is the best season, as it is neither too hot nor too cold.
About a week ago, I started to tell my daughter, "This week is the end of breastfeeding."
She's started to nod as if she understood what I said since the day before yesterday.
(I wonder if she really understands?).
So today, my husband is in charge of picking her up from daycare, bathing, eating, and playtime afterwards.
I just prepared the meal while they were in the bath, and then spent the rest of the time in another room. My daughter must want some milk when I see her, so I can't see her today.
These three days are important.
It seems to be quite difficult even on the first day, but will it last for three days?
