今年は2022年ニャンニャンの年、そして2月22日はさらに2が重なるということで、神戸北野 異人館街では、「猫の日アートWEEK〜猫を愛する芸術家の仲間達」というイベントが開催されています。
総勢42名の猫好きの作家たちの作品を展示・販売しています。売上の一部は、恵まれない猫ちゃんのために使われるチャリティイベントです。

私も先日写真を載せたマイクロキャンバス作品と、新作の額装猫イラスト２点で参加しています。
今日はそれらの作品を紹介したいと思います。
『幕間の夢想』(Dreaming Interlude 2022)
ある日、私の目の前に白い洋服を着た猫さんが現れました。
その猫さんは、青空のような澄んだ夢を見ている空と同じ目の色をした子。後ろには緑の緞帳。幕間には、こちらもまた穏やかな夢見るような空。
猫はお芝居の登場人物なのか、観客なのか。内が外に、観られる側が観る側と混ざり合う夢の世界です。
有元利夫へのオマージュ作品。
こちらは、ラインの館に展示されています。
『Tobacco Shop』(2022)
タバコ屋の猫さん。
猫さんが店番をしているのは、京都市内に実際にのこっている、今は使われていないタバコの自動販売機です。シャッターが閉まっているので、実際にどのような感じで営業されていたかはわからないのですが、いつも通りlazyな猫さんが佇んでいます。
背景は名古屋の洋館、揚輝荘の一室の床タイル。優しいオレンジとグレーの組み合わせがお洒落で、一目惚れして写真を撮っておいていました。
古いものや建築が好きで、建物だと明治〜昭和のデザインに拘りある洋館が好きです。その中から気に入った色使いや造形、模様等を作品に取り入れることもあります。
こちらは、ブリコラージュに展示されています。
自由に外出するのも難しい状況ではありますが、もしご都合がつきましたら見に来てくださると嬉しいです。

Hi there , I'm yumi yamamoto, a CAT illustrator.
How are you doing?
My works are on display at Kobe Kitano Ijinkan-gai from 19th of February, 2022.
This year is the year 2022, the year of the "Nyan Nyan" (Meow, Meow in English. Cat loving people call 2 as "nyan". LoL), and February 22 is even more of a coincidence of many twos! So an event called "Cat Day Art WEEK - Friends of Artists Who Love Cats" is being held in Kobe Kitano Ijinkan-gai.
A total of 42 cat-loving artists are exhibiting and selling their works. A portion of the proceeds will be used to help underprivileged cats at this charity event.

"Dreaming Interlude" (2022)
One day, a cat wearing white dress appeared in front of me.
The cat had eyes the same color as the sky, and was dreaming a dream as clear as the blue sky. Behind her was the green curtain. In between the drapes, also a calm dreamy sky.
Is the cat a role in the play or an audience? It is a dream world where the inside can be replaced with the outside, and the viewer can be replaced with the watched.
This work is a tribute to Toshio Arimoto.
This work is on display in the Mansion of Rhine.

"Tobacco Shop" (2022)
A cat in a tobacco shop.
The cat is sitting in a tobacco store. The model of the building is a disused tobacco vending machine that actually still exists in Kyoto. The shutters are closed, so I can't tell how it was actually operated, but the cat is there looking lazy as usual.
The illustration background is the pattern of the floor tiles of a room in a western-style building in Nagoya, Yokiso. I fell in love with the combination of soft orange and gray, and took a picture of it.
I like old things and architecture, and for buildings, I like Western-style buildings with a particular design from the Meiji to Showa periods. I sometimes use the colors, shapes, and patterns that I like in my work.
This work is on display at Bricolage.
It is difficult to go out freely, but if you can make it, I would appreciate it if you could come and see the cat art.
